The Bipartisan President

01/28/10 14:24

Should Obama stay the course with his middle aisle populism?

Barack Obama ran a campaign that emphasized change beginning with a commitment to bipartisanship. Yet one year on there appears to be little that has changed. From the hiring of the old Bush economic advisors, to the escalation of the war in Afghanistan; partisanship is as rabid and stultifying as ever.

Should Obama stay the course with his middle aisle populism? Or should he take off the gloves and chastise the Democrats for spoils-mongering healthcare and the Republicans for petty obstructionsim?
