Joe Barton Apologizes to BP
Last week US Representative Joe Barton (R-TX), accused the US government of shaking down BP in its efforts to get the oil giant to take responsibility for cleaning up the Gulf oil spill,l as well as compensating those who have been victimized by it or have had their livlihoods destroyed or interrupted.
Here are links to three editorial responses to Barton who, apologized for his remarks and also appeared to back away from his apology.

Any sane person would be ashamed at the response thus far of BP, as well as the insensitive and asinine comments that have been spoken by company representatives. For more...
